DoD Office of the Secretary of Defense

Overview: The mission of one of our Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) customers is to consistently provide responsive, forward-thinking and insightful advice and support to the Secretary of Defense and the Department of Defense, in alignment with national security objectives. E3 provides a full scope of specialized program management services, including assigning and managing daily correspondence and tasks. Our team analyzes, determines required actions and recipients; and distributes documentation for action.

Result: E3’s team assisted our client in moving all metrics to a “green” status and continues to provide exceptional metrics for critical correspondence management. This continued excellence has allowed our client to promote that all correspondence has an on-time completion rate of 90 percent.

USDA Forest Service

Overview: Via the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009, we established a program management office (PMO) which provided accountability and transparency into the 3,500+ contracts and grants that the Forest Service issued with ARRA funds to support capital improvements and maintenance; fire management; and green-energy initiatives. 

Result: While leading the PMO efforts, E3 assisted recipients of ARRA funds and the Forest Service Program Managers better understand the accomplishments of the ARRA funded projects from calendar quarter to quarter. While managing the PMO, E3 increased reporting compliance from 60 percent to 98 percent and was able to respond to media and congressional inquiries regarding jobs created within two hours with internally developed tools to collect and report on data. As a result of our efforts, E3 was named the USDA Forest Service Small Business Contractor of the Year.
